Celebrate Poet of Spring Award

Here is my acceptance poem.

Broken and Stitched Up

~*~*~

Standing In a room
Full of laughing people,
Friends I’ve come to know
And cherish with all my heart.

What more can one ask for?
Than these friendly smiles
The jokes and fun
And their caring shoulder to lean on?

Still sometimes I discover,
That no matter what,
No matter where, or with whom,
I am all alone in the dark.

Essentially and elementally isolated,
Broken and stitched up
Over and over again
I am but a child of solitude.

Boredom

~*~*~

There is so much unsaid,
So much unheard,
So much unfelt,
So much hidden,
From the corners of our mind,
Waiting to be discovered,
Wanting to be learned,
Pining to be transfered,
From one mind to another.

Yet, in the midst of so much knowledge,
We still find ourselves bored.

The above is my acceptance poem for The Perfect Poet Award for Week 35. Thank you so much for the honor. Thank you to Jingle especially for hosting these things and giving out awards which really help encourage all of us bloggers!

I would like to nominate Blaga for next week’s award.

The Perfect Poet Award – Week 28 – and a Poem

Apologies that this has been put up so late. To be absolutely honest, when I received the award, I just didn’t have time at that point of time to put this up, and today I finally found a little time.

I would really like to thank Jingle for giving out the Perfect Poet Award for Week 28 of the Thursday’s Poets’ Rally. I am greatly honored to receive and accept this award. Thank you so much!

The Perfect Poet Award – Week 28

I would like to nominate Artswebshow for the Perfect Poet Award for next week.

As for my Haiku/poem to accept this award…

A Silent Song
By: deadpoet88

A silent song sung,
Like raindrops falling softly,
The sweet scent of rain.

A silent song sung,
In deep waters of my mind,
Thirsty for more life.

A silent song sung,
For the wild and raging sea,
Calming but my heart.

A silent song sung,
Above the ring of chaos,
Broken and unwilled.

A silent song sung,
And my heart let out a sigh,
Lonely and so lost.

Some Awards, and a Poem -> Tic-Tacs

I am going to club a couple of award posts into one post.

The first award is the Perfect Poet Award for Poets’ Rally Week 26, which was given to me by Jingle, and I am very honored to receive it. Thank you so much for nominating me, I really appreciate it and I don’t have enough thank yous to give out.

The Perfect Poet Award – Week 26

I would like to nominate Amanda for the Perfect Poet Award for Week 27.

To accept the above award, I must write a Poem or Haiku. I have never tried writing a Haiku before (apologies if I made some mistake in this one), so I thought I would try it out. Criticism is most welcome.

I am addicted,
To orange flavored tic-tacs,
Drowning ecstasy.

I have another award to give out. I am very grateful to Amanda and Jamie Dedes passed this award on to me, and I must thank you both for this award. I am honored to receive it. Here is the list of bloggers I would like to pass this award to. Please pass it on to 1 to 10 people to accept this award.
